We are looking to recruit an Internal Account Manager to join our Client’s site in Letchworth. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join one of the fastest growing distributors in the UK and embark on the path toward a successful and rewarding career.

The expectation is to provide first class customer service to our valued clients and provide support to an established and successful sales team, all within in a fast moving B2B environment. You will be required to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills paired with highly efficient and accurate administrative ability. You will be involved in all aspects of the business cycle and offer an all-round customer focused approach.

The role will entail:

  • Managing customers in conjunction with External Account Managers
  • Processing customer orders to exacting requirements and communicating details for each of aspect of the order to reach the full agreement and “Right First Time” result.
  • Monitoring customer usages, stock levels and debt to meet targets and to customer requirements
  • Using company procedures, work instructions and systems correctly to raise issues and suggestions

You will have (Essential Requirements):

  • Previous experience in a B2B environment in a product based industry ideally
  • Have key account management experience (internal)
  • Have a proven track record in Customer Service, and a desire to improve the Customer experience
  • Have some experience of a purchasing function as a primary or secondary part of a role preferred
  • Be a flexible and supportive member of the team
  • Be commercially minded and have strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrate strong mathematics and numeracy
  • Competent user of Microsoft office functions particularly with Microsoft Excel (Navigation, formatting, & basic formula)
  • Manage a healthy workload and maintain focus and organisation
  • An ethical approach to business and relationship building
  • Be outgoing, positive and have excellent communication skills, particularly on the telephone
  • Be able to understand and effectively follow company process and procedure
  • An absolute desire to improve the supplier/ customer experience
  • Show a desire to learn about new and existing products
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Educated to A level Standard or above (not essential but preferred)
  • Full, Clean, UK Driving License
