With over 50 years of experience, our client prides themselves on supplying high quality machined components to discerning customers. The Despatch Operative role is a full-time permanent opportunity working Mon-Friday 7am – 4pm, paying £25k – £30k doe plus overtime and benefits.

Role Overview:

Working in a team environment you will work with a range of products and components, managing the logistics of delivering parts to various customers, making sure everything arrives on time and in the right condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing products for outbound deliveries to customers. Ensuring product and quantity is correct, as well as ensuring customer quality expectations are met before product is delivered.
• Preparing product for delivery to sub-contract suppliers.
• Packing all product to desired customer specifications, and ensuring to check all product for any quality concerns.
• Receiving product from sub-contract suppliers, and preparing this for processing through the machine shop. Ensure full quantity and correct parts have been delivered, and checking for any quality concerns.
• Tracking work through each process, and planning when to send product to relevant sub-contract suppliers.
• Preparing documentation for delivery and sub-contract processes using company software.
• Liaising with different teams within company to ensure all processes are followed.

Skills, qualities & experience required:

• Previous experience of working within Dispatch in an Engineering environment preferable.
• Experience of reading engineering drawings
• Great attention to detail
• Team player with good communication skills
• Flexible and adaptable
• Self motivated
